Privacy Policy for Resonate

Resonate ("the app," "we," "us") is a wellness and breathing app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Your privacy is fundamental to how the app is built. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.

Data we access

• Heart rate and heart-rate variability (HRV) from Apple HealthKit, with your permission, to calculate and display a live "coherence" score during a breathing session.

How your data is used and stored

• All health data is processed on your device only. It is used in real time to power the breathing guidance, coherence score, haptics, audio, and visuals.
• We do not transmit your health data off your device. We do not have a server or backend, and we do not store your health data outside of Apple Health.
• We do not sell, share, or use your health data for advertising or marketing, and we never use HealthKit data for any purpose other than the in-app features described above.

Nearby "Breathe Together" feature

This optional feature uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity over local Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to synchronize a breathing session between nearby devices. Only the minimal session-timing information needed to stay in sync is exchanged directly between devices. This data is not stored and is never sent to any server.

Data we do NOT collect

• No account or login. No name, email, or contact information is required to use the app.
• No analytics, tracking, advertising identifiers, or third-party SDKs.

Your control

• You can grant or revoke the app's access to Health data at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health, or within the Apple Health app.
• Deleting the app removes its on-device data.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
